Another gem on Time’s Best 100 YA List. I mean that wholeheartedly, this book is fantastic. If you have not read The Knife of Never Letting Go, you need to grab a copy as soon as possible. I was lucky enough to borrow the ebook version from my local library since then, I have bought the rest of the series. The Knife of Never Letting Go is book one in The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness.

I highly recommend reading The Knife of Never Letting Go.

Todd Hewitt is a month short of becoming a man aka thirteen years old. In the New World, things are a little different, and everyone has been infected with a germ. This germ has killed all of the women and given men the ability to read each others’ thoughts, this is known as the Noise. Or so that is what we are lead to believe.

Todd is out in the swamp when he discovers the silence. He is disturbed by this and how his adoptive parents react to the discovery. Todd is rushed out of his home with a map and his mother’s journal as the men of Prentisstown attack his home. Crazy I know~~ He runs through the swamp conflicted about what is going to happen to him and his family. Todd finds the silence, a girl. The world he thought he knew, everything he has been told, comes crashing down as he discovers the truth.

I loved everything about this book. It was easy to read, kept me interested the whole time, and will appeal to most readers.

If you like action, suspense, science fiction, fantasy, and or books with a male protagonist, The Knife of Never Letting Go is for you. You will be on the edge of your seat from the first few pages to the last. Make some time to read The Knife of Never Letting Go.

I will defiantly be posting an in-depth review of the whole series once I finish it. The Knife of Never Letting Go will be a movie in 2020.
