Day 12: Beauty Queens by Libba Bray

Screen Shot 2018-11-08 at 11.12.49 PMI loved Libba Bray’s Gemma Doyle series, so much so I have been avoiding her other work. A fellow reviewer recommended this read to me and I know I will make my way to it.

I normally don’t read books of this genre, but since it is Libba Bray and I need to return to her work, I want to give it a try. Beauty Queens is not at my local bookstore nor in my local library. I will more than likely buy this an ebook. That is of course if I do not find it under the tree~

“The 50 contestants in the Miss Teen Dream pageant thought this was going to be a fun trip to the beach, where they could parade in their state-appropriate costumes and compete in front of the cameras.

But sadly, their airplane had another idea, crashing on a desert island and leaving the survivors stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eyeliner.” Summary from Goodreads.

Have you read this book? Do you like Libba Bray? Have you Reviewed this book?

I haven’t read this series by Bray, but have heard it’s a interesting series. I did read the first book in her Diviners series and loved it! I’ve also heard really good things about her A Great and Terrible Beauty series but haven’t read them yet.
