Who am I? I’ve compiled a list of books that have not been released yet, but I PLAN to read. It all began when Empire of the Damned popped up on my radar. From there, I delved into book groups and sifted through countless new release emails to create a comprehensive list of upcoming reads. So, here we are, with a list that keeps on growing.

1.Empire of the Damned by Jay Kristoff
I preorded two books in 2023, this was one of them. I ordered a Waterstones edition of Empire of the Damned for no reason other than I had ordered the first book from Waterstones and I need them all to match. I am so excited to return to the vampy world that Kristoff created.

3. Clown in a Cornfield 3: The Church of Frendo by Adam Cesare
First, it is YA horror. Second, these books have been so much fun I know this one will be just as good. Quinn is back to take justice into her own hands. I am here for it.

4. The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo
What has me excited for The Familiar is that it is set in Madrid during the Spanish Golden age with magic, alchemists, and spies! I cannot wait.

5. Womb City by Tlotlo Tsamaase
A science fiction novel in which men control women’s body with a microchip. This seems like a recipe for uprising and revenge, I will be counting the days until JANUARY 23rd!

6. Island Witch by Amanda Jayatissa
I love gothic horror, so much so. Island Witch is a gothic horror set in 19th century Sri Lanka. From the Cover and summary, I am sold! I love a good witchcraft story.

7. Indian Burial Ground by Nick Medina
I am a sucker for Native American stories. I am on the very long wait list for Medina’s other titles, I will be adding this one to my hold list as well.
